I grew up in Harlem.  I grew up in the projects that are on 143rd Street, seventh avenue.  They are called Drew Hamilton Projects.  I met my husband in the area centuries ago, or so it seems.  Right now we have a fifteen year old and I just had a baby eight months ago.  I still can't believe it but God's timing is different from ours and he know's the when, where and how.  I wrote Secrets Of An Inmate's Wife at a time when I needed so badly to recount this experience because it kept me sane for so many years, especially during the beginning when it was all so new to me.  Going to the prisons, meeting other women doing the same, being treated badly by the security officers.  Everything about the experience had a major impact on me, even the visiting rooms in the different prisons I've been to, the trailer visits we've had through the years and all the women I met along the way that changed my life or made the trips just a little bit easier.  And some of the games men play even while in prison . . .  all these things and so much more are within the pages of this book.  But I'm not done yet.....................
